It’s Charlie here. The photo above is of Rosaly’s Garden up the street from us where the flowers are in full bloom, and they have many fruits and vegetables available for sale.
We have had a busy ten days at Cranberry Meadow Farm, including a visit from both my older brother, John, and friends Tara and Keith Stocker. The gardens are producing many cucumbers, tomatoes, and blueberries. We are also picking abundant quantities of kale, lettuce and beans on a daily basis.

Our chickens are producing beautiful brown eggs, and somehow we think there is an older hen in the group since we occasionally gather a double extra large egg that almost always has two yolks. Strangely, they seem to have gone a bit rogue in the past few days, with multiple attempts to escape their pen, and a few that have been successful overnight have gone missing.
Franny and I had a great day of fishing with Ryan Leclerc of New England Guide Service last week, and it was the first time I actually pet a large rainbow trout after Ryan taught me how to provide it a food source near my feet. I caught one large rainbow trout and had a 30 inch salmon on my line for about a minute before it threw out the hook.
