Construction at Cranberry Meadow Farm

Hi, it’s Charlie here. Construction at the inn is already in full swing, with the initial focus on clearing the way for a new driveway that enters the property off of quiet Old Street Road and winds behind the koi pond and through the forest before entering the inn’s parking area. The CAT excavator is being heavily used by Bob Taylor, and we are at the point where we can clearly see the new layout of the grounds.

Driveway Construction

Our meeting with the Peterborough planning board to seek approval to convert our property into an inn is set for September 16th, so fingers crossed! My brother, John, is here for a week, and I have many projects on my list for him to help out with. Yesterday, we built an 8 foot by 8 foot bridge over a creek in the forest, so that we can drive the John Deere gator along the old logging paths on the property. We regularly see three turkeys on our drives, and last week I saw several young ones. Supposedly, we should also expect to see moose, black bears, and a bobcat according to our neighbors.
